Backend The back-end offers great flexibility and is feature-rich allowing the admin to dictate what is displayed and what is not.  You may play around these features and see what works for you and what’s best for your site.  In particular, you can specify your online favorite store as a link to the gift icon.
Frontend Birthday Module 2.0 blends in with the rest of the parts of JomSocial 2.0 in its design, boxed in as other parts are.  One very neat feature of this module is the ability to customize the heading text at the backend.

Birthday Module v2.0.3!

We continuously update our Birthday Module for JomSocial 2.0.  Please check out the fixes, modifications, and additions to our module:

Fixed:

*Multiple friend's birthday displayed on the module. SQL statement modified. (v2.0.2)
*UTF-8 Support (see below for details)


Modified:

*Birthday format --> to support UTF-8, the birthday format is based on the standard formats according to the language being used. 
Admins may opt to edit the language ini file in the directory: <Joomla! home>/language/<your language>/<your language>.ini.  
This file contains standard formats of date and time.  Reference: http://docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_change_the_date_format%3F


Added:

*Support for UTF-8
*Height of Module option --> module height may be set relative to number of birthdays for the month if value set to zero
*Truncate size --> Name may be truncated to fit into the module width, otherwise name and everything that follows are moved to the next line which messes up the display

JomSocial Birthday Module

A free JomSocial 1.8 - 2.0 module that displays the birthdays of friends for the current month.  The module displays a two-line information about friends having birthday for the current month:
